I received your art box on
Sat. It is a beautiful work of art Jane, which I have shown off to many
friends and family. Every one is exited about the
future engagement prospects, but no one more than I. Thank you once again
for all your hard work and continued dedication through out this process,
and good luck with future clients in the years to come! David - California - October 2010 - #341 Sunflower
Unbelievable work Jane!!!!
You truly are an artist. Your work with this medium, and
the ability to match a design with such precision, is totally
breathtaking. Thank you for this, it will
without a doubt, put an extra sugarcoating on an already memorable day.
Jane, the ring
box is beautiful. You were able to take my vision and exceed my
expectations. I am truly happy to have this to treasure along with what I
am sure will be a very special moment for us. Thank you again for
your terrific work and for getting this done so quickly.
Jane,
thanks so much for the beautiful box. Patricia has never been more
delighted with a gift, and it is truly beautiful work. I know it will be
treasured for years to come.
I saw
you demonstrate at the [WoodWorks] woodworking show in Fort Washington, PA
over the weekend and enjoyed your easy, friendly way of showing your
craft. My grandson especially enjoyed it and the way you listened to his
many questions and answered them were much appreciated. He had a great
time at the show, thanks to friendly people like you.
I'd like to thank you again for working with me
on the design and for creating such an integral part of one of the most
important days of my, and Chung's life. It is truly a work of art and what
makes it even more special is that it is one of a kind. Many times the box is an after thought
or a way to transport the ring and protect it. The box means as much to her
as part of the proposal as the ring itself. She couldn't stop gushing about
it and all her friends and my friends wives have told me how thoughtful a
gift the box is and how beautiful it is.
I can't say thank you enough for the
beautiful ring box that you made for my fiancée and I. It truly was a
special event and the fiddleback ring box added a unique experience for the
whole engagement process. It is a piece of art and we will have it forever
to hand down to our children on their own special occasions. Thank you
again for all your help and getting it to me so quickly. It is nice to see
that someone like you takes a great deal of pride in their work which is
shown by your wonderful craftswomanship.
Hello Jane. Thank you for making Wendy's retirement
extra special. She could not believe how beautiful the box was made, nor
could any of the other dinner guests. She was so surprised and even stayed
up till 3 in the morning reading letters from the Memory Box. Our Board
members who were on hand to see the box remarked at its beauty and
craftsmanship. You are a fabulous artist.
Thank you again.
Just wanted to let you know that Amy loved the box. I think it may have
been
her favorite part of the engagement. Thanks again for creating it, you did
a
great job. Thank you so much!!! It looks
beautiful and I'm so excited about it. You did a wonderful job and I'm going
to send you some pictures of us in San Francisco and everything. Thank you
very much :)
I just received my engagement ring box...it's absolutely gorgeous! Thank
you very much for your work, you are a credit to your craft! .... I wanted to write and let you
know
that I gave the engagement ring box you made (the bee box) to my fiancée
(along with a ring, of course) and that she loves it.
Her friends and family are just as impressed by the box as by her
engagement
ring (no small compliment considering the price of her ring). :^) So I
just
wanted you to know that all worked out well and that we are happy to have
our
own new family heirloom to pass down someday in the far, far future. |

Goldfinch on Coneflower Ann Heap took my 2 day class in May, 2011. She writes: "I wanted to share with you that I completed my first marquetry picture. I got it done just in time to enter it in a local art show sponsored by an artist's group I belong to, VECCA, and I was tickled pink that I got a third place ribbon in the show. The picture is based on a photograph that I took. The photo itself was not really great, but it was great for doing the marquetry. I also have already sold the piece after I posted it on Facebook. I could not believe it!" |

Art Vedejs took my 2 day class at Woodcraft. He made a dogwood flower coaster and a larger picture with a bird on a twig in class. He then went home and made this gorgeous fish picture using some really difficult woods to work with like Lacewood and Wenge. Great job, Art! March 2011 |

Jim Holt took my 2 day class at Woodcraft and made a coaster and this lovely bird picture. Jim says he already has his next project lined up. July 2010 |

"Marquetry is very time consuming and a challenge, but the results are
stunning, so I will continue to add it to my projects. Thanks for
introducing me to this very enjoyable skill." |

Hi Jane,
great class yesterday. It was packed with needed info for doing marquetry. I
must say it was one of if not the best class I have ever taken. Jane, I just wanted to take
a minute to tell you that I enjoyed your class last week. Having spent 30
years in education, I can spot a good teacher. Thanks so much for the class. Lots of the things you said
helped me tremendously. I am having trouble implementing them but
with time I'm sure it will come. I thoroughly enjoyed your
presentations at the Orlando Woodworking show last week. As a result,
I bought some tools and ordered some veneer and look forward to giving
marquetry a try.
I just wanted to
thank you once again for a great class. It was a superb tutorial and overview
of marquetry. The techniques you shared and the presentation made it fun for
everyone who participated. I am glad to have been able to see and hold some of
your marquetry creations. The photos on your website can in no way show the
detail and craftsmanship of your work. I hope that I can practice and have
the ability and courage to enter a piece in the Atlanta Wood Show on it's next
show date. Jane: I might have turned
out the worst marquetry of any of your students ever but I did learn and it
was worth it. I probably will never attempt certain curves in the future but
I may try some easier designs.
Thanks for the class; you did a great job,
and everyone enjoyed it. |

I saw you on DIY TV
yesterday. I was impressed with your work. Also, I visited your web site
and I have to commend you on a great site. Very well done, and I
especially like the tutorial and your gracious links to fine veneer sites. Just wanted to complement
you on your site. It was very informative and made me want to come to
Atlanta from upstate NY to take your class :-)
just a few lines to let you know how
inspirational your website is. I've not been doing marquetry for a long time
, a couple of years maybe. In fact this year I will be entering my first
exhibition. After looking at your work you fill me with hope as your work is
out of this world. Thank you again, every time I get fed up of the piece I'm
working on I just go to your site and return to my veneer fully refreshed!!
Jane, I found this site
while looking for band saw boxes. Something that fascinates me. Your work is
the best I have ever seen. Incredible detail. You are truly an artist.
Thanks for the look. I was looking for
cabinet headboards on Google and saw the one you made... I then clicked
on the link to your Marquetry site.... I was floored.... You are extremely
talented... I can not imagine the amount of time and patience it takes to
create such wonderful looking "stuff"... I very much enjoyed
your web site... everything was laid out so well... I am going to
bookmark this site... I may inquire about those beginning classes in
Atlanta (I live here in Birmingham)... Thank you so much for
presenting the information on Marquetry...
I came by your website through a strange
set of circumstances, which I will speak of later. Meanwhile, I want to say
that I was delighted to find you and your lovely marquetry work as well as
to learn about your interesting past. I must say your web
site is fantastic and it is wonderful to see someone with so much enthusiasm
for marquetry. I personally find marquetry so relaxing and soothing.
Just what the doctor ordered after a hard week at the office (Lots of
concentration on marquetry and not even one thought of work). |
