South Africa ~ growing up in S.A. in the '80's

I was born in South Africa. At the age of 9 we moved to England. We lived there for 2 1/2 years. On returning to South Africa and my old school I found that I was no longer the same little girl I used to be. I had travelled to Holland, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Scotland with my parents. I had experienced new cultures and broadened my horizon as to what life is all about. South Africa, however, had not changed at all to my knowledge. I was still living the privileged life of a white South African in a nice suburban town. The '80's were good times.

In 1986, the year I graduated from High School my parents with my brother and his new wife moved to Paraguay. This left me on my own, a student in
Cape Town. I studied Clothing Design and on completing my course I found the market for clothing designers to be flooded. I then decided to move to South America to be closer to my family and get to see a little more of the world.
