Router Table
A router table is used for making moldings and other decorative trim. To see a detailed description of how I made it click on the picture.

CD Stand
I was given some scraps of Wenge which I turned into this CD stand by cutting dados to insert the three Maple shelves.

Starburst Desk
I made this desk to do my Marquetry on as I needed something not too shabby to have in the living room where I could work in the evenings.  The starburst and outer border is made of Sapele and American Cherry.  I used tiny strips of maple on edge to form the lines defining the lines of the starburst.  The white section is Maple Pomelle Quilt, a magnificent piece of veneer.  It in fact looks like mother-of-pearl when the light catches it at a certain angle.  The legs of the desk are made of 2 x 4 studs that I laminated.

Neo's Alpine Scratcher
The scratcher is made of solid Kurupaý and Grapia with a Marquetry Celtic Dragon at the top.  It takes the standard scratcher blocks that can be bought at most pet stores.

The image above shows the cardboard Alpine Scratcher that I bought for my cat, Neo.  With all the other wooden items in my living room this cardboard box really looked tacky, which is why I made him the pretty wooden one.

The image above shows the marquetry ready to be inserted into the guitar, and below, the rosette in the guitar.

Zebra Guitar Rosette

I made this rosette for an American living in France who was having the guitar made in New Zealand.  The image above shows the rosette half done.  It is made of Kingswood, Maple and Ebony.
