In this class Jane will demonstrate how to create designs and select veneers most suited for marquetry and will show you how to apply the designs to your project. She will also discuss selecting and applying finishes appropriate for marquetry. You will make a small project that will incorporate most of the basic cutting and gluing techniques required to do any marquetry project.

No previous woodworking experience is required.  In this class you will make a small piece of marquetry using the craft knife cutting technique.  You will also learn about veneer selection, pattern transfer, glueing veneer to a substrate and basic sanding and finishing of marquetry.  At the end of the class you will have a finished project to take home.
