These boxes are not available for sale. They are shown here as examples of what I can make and what you can order.
#1 Cherry Blossom
Square Mahogany single ring box with a cherry blossom design done in Walnut, Bloodwood, Maple with a Cherry background.
#2 Hexagonal Butterfly
Spalted Maple hexagonal ring box with a butterfly in Madrone Burl and Mahogany. The hexagonal boxes with a simple design such as this are around $255.00.
#3 Asiatic Lily
This Masur Birch box is just under 2" square with an Asiatic lily on the lid. The shading in the flower is done with hot sand.
#4 Rose of Sharon
A round Ebony box with a Rose of Sharon flower done in bleached wood. The lettering is engraved with a laser.
#5 Erigenia Butterfly
Square Mahogany box with Curly Maple wings and Black Walnut body. The background behind the butterfly is Fiddleback Mahogany.
#6 Heart Flower
Spalted Maple hexagonal box with Padauk hearts and a Yellow Wood center.
#7 Red & Gold Tulip
Square walnut box with walnut burl background behind the dyed veneers making up the tulip. This box has a domed lid.
#8 Superman Ring Box
Ebony box with silver Superman symbol inlaid into the lid. The edges of the box have been routed to create a step molding on each side.
#9 Cupcake
Square Maple box with a cupcake design on it. The cup is fiddleback Mahogany, the cake is Birch, the chocolate icing is Walnut and a Cherry cherry.
#10 Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada
This single ring box depicts the scene of Lake Louise as viewed from the Chateau. I used Maple for the sky, some mystery wood for the snow-covered peaks, Walnut for the closest hill and Turtleback Poplar for the opposite hill. I used a dyed piece of veneer for the water.
#11 Barefoot
If you have a logo or emblem you would like on the box just supply me with a picture or photograph of the image and I will do a marquetry rendering of it.
#12 Rosette
This box is made of solid Padauk, a naturally deep red wood. Padauk is a very heavy, dense wood which makes a nice solid feeling box. The rosette is Maple Pomelle, Poplar and Madrone Burl.
#13 Lettering
This box is made of Spalted Maple. Each box made of this wood looks totally different to the next as the character changes dramatically throughout the log. I can do any lettering or initials in different fonts.
#14 Aeternus
The box is made of Spalted Maple. The lettering has been scribed into the wood, making it a more economical way of getting a design onto the lid of the box. A hexagonal box like this with scribed lettering is $245.00. If the lettering had been done in marquetry it would have been around $315.00
#15 Ganesh
This box is made of mahogany with a madrone background around a satinwood Indian elephant Ganesh. It has a hand rubbed Danish oil finish.
#16 Claddagh
If you have a religious symbol you would like on the box I can make the design suitable for marquetry. Round Padauk box with Maple, Poplar and Koto veneer forming the Claddagh. This box is oiled with Danish oil which is why it has a dull finish.
#17 Sunset Surprise double ring box
Double ring boxes hold two rings, making them suitable for the engagement ring as well as the wedding band, or two wedding bands if used at a wedding to hold the rings.

#18 Ginger Sun double ring box
Double ring box, 3" x 3" x 2". I am able to do more intricate designs on double ring boxes as they are larger and allow more room for the design on the lid.

#19 Honu
Square Walnut box with Koto, Mahogany and Pearwood making up the turtle design on the lid.
#20 Diamond Heart
Mahogany box with Lacewood background, Beech diamond and Madrone Burl heart. A box like this is $220.00.
#21 Infinite Love
This rectangular box is made of Canarywood which is light yellow. The background is Koto (used in Japan for making musical instruments) and Madrone Burl Love. The Infinity sign is also made of Koto, with the grain running perpendicular to the background.
#22 Korean Infinite Love
Another Infinite Love box but with Love written in Korean. If you can provide me with the text I can do it in any language. Here the box is Mahogany, Madrone Burl background, Pearwood Infinity symbol and Maple Love.
#23 Dragonfly
Got a favorite critter? Send me a picture of one or let me find the image and I can put it on the box in marquetry. The wings on this box are dyed green veneer with Poplar body. The background is wavy Mahogany.
#24 Ladybug
Square Walnut box with French curly Walnut veneer for the background and Cherry, Ebony and Koto veneer making up the ladybug.
#25 Dolphins
Square mahogany ring box with Dyed blue water and sky, grey dolphins and a yellow sun. I normally do not use dyed veneers, but blue is one colour I have not been able to find in natural wood. If you want a blue bluebird I will have to turn to dyed woods.
#26 Round Sunrise box
This box is made of Padauk, a deep, red wood. The design is done is Padauk, Movingue and Mahogany. This design works well on the cylindrical box.
#27 Madagascar Rosewood Trillium box
The hexagonal box is made of Madagascar Rosewood with a Purpleheart background behind the trillium flower.
#28 Infinity Iris
On this hexagonal ring box the stem of the iris runs down the front of the box. This is a walnut box with dyed veneers making up the iris. There is a small, blue infinity symbol right in the middle of the flower.
#29 Pimiento Tulip 2" single ring box
This square box is made of Spalted Maple with and Olive Ash background behind the Pimiento tulip and Poplar leaves and letters. The shadows in the petals are done with sand shading.
#30 Frangipani 3" single ring box
This is a single ring box but it is 3" x 3". I made it larger than usual to accommodate all the detail that had to go on the lid. The box is mahogany, the background madrone and the flower and lettering is done with dyed veneers.
#31 Single 3"x3" ring box
This shows the inside of the 3" box for a single ring. The box is Honduras Rosewood which has been dyed red with silver plated hinges.
#32 Double 3"x3" ring box
This Tatajyva box shows the cavity for two rings. 3" x 3" box. These are silver plated barrel hinges with a dark blue velvet lining.
#33 Single rectangular box
This 2.5" x 1.75" Mahogany box holds a single ring. It is mahogany with a black velvet lining and silver plated barrel hinges.
#34 Double 3"x1.75" rectangular ring box
This box is made to hold two rings, as indicated with the two pennies. The wood is Masur Birch with a black velvet lining and silver plated barrel hinges.
#35 Square 2" Mahogany box
This shows the inside of the square Mahogany box with square edges. Note how the slot for the ring is cut so that a ring would lie a little forward rather than straight up.
#36 Square, Domed 2" Walnut box
This shows an engagement ring in a square Walnut box with domed lid and front. Brass hinges work best with a yellow gold ring. For white gold, titanium or platinum silver hinges would be a better choice, though not necessary.
